The challenge
One of the key challenges was building awareness. The use of bamboo products in home builds and renovations was (and still is) a new concept for many in the market. Consumers are also increasingly more conscious of the environmental impact of product production and sustainable manufacturing. As bamboo is a renewable resource that does not contribute to deforestation it has high appeal to these conscience consumers. It is also incredibly fast growing and very durable. In many respects it is a superior product to some of the main products in the market, with high strength and durability. These are great qualities but how to we get this message out in front of people when looking at their options for these type of products?
The solution
We focused on two areas for this challenge: SEO and Google Ads.
SEO
Firstly, we completed an in-depth SEO audit of the site. This provided a clear picture of the areas that required work. From this audit we compiled a range of recommendations. These were methodically worked through and successfully implemented. We closely monitor the performance of the site over time and apply optimisations where needed. The website now holds number 1 organic ranking positions on Google Search for nearly all of those important product related (non-branded) keywords such as “bamboo decking”.Â
Google Ads
We set up highly targeted Google Search campaigns. These work to reach potential customers at the precise moment they’re searching for bamboo related products. We also setup and manage successful Google Performance Max campaigns. These campaigns support their keyword-based Search campaigns and help find more converting customers across all of Google’s channels like YouTube, Display, Search, Discover, Gmail, and Maps. Traffic arriving from Google Ads is now the highest converting out of all their website traffic channels.
